Craig Rose
Writer - Script Reader - Researcher
About Me
Hi! I'm Craig, a comedy writer and script reader looking to build my experience in scripted development and research. I'm a 2024 delegate for 'The Network', The TV Foundation's entry-level access scheme for creatives from under-represented backgrounds. A proud working-class northerner, I was born and bred in Leigh - the only town in the country to be overshadowed by Wigan!

After training with BBC Studios, NFTS and British Comedy Guide, I've gone on to provide script reports and 'punch ups' for writers at various stages in their careers. As a writer, my topical jokes have been aired on BBC Radio Scotland and Union JACK, while my sitcom and sketch scripts have been recognised in competitions by Notorious Comedy (runner up) and Short Com (long list).

I have recently storylined and written for the EastEnders Live Read at the Edinburgh TV Festival and written + produced a ten minute sitcom taster for my MA in Drama Production for TV, Film and Digital Media at the University of Salford.

My special talent is spilling cups of tea! At least three each week... a fortunate coincidence that we have light brown carpets!
